On a remodel, debris is the thing that slows everyone down. Drywall stacked in the driveway, torn-out cabinets in the garage, a pile of shingles beside the house — the next trade cannot start until it is gone.
LaFata Disposal Services clears construction and renovation debris for contractors, remodelers and homeowners across the Syracuse area. We can come once at the end or on a recurring basis through a longer project.
For contractors, the advantage over a roll-off is simple: no permit for a container in the street, no dumpster sitting on a customer's lawn for two weeks, and no paying for empty air. We load what is actually there and leave.
Debris we haul
- Drywall, plaster and lath

- Asphalt shingles and roofing tear-off
- Vinyl siding, soffit and gutters
- Old kitchen cabinets, countertops and vanities
- Flooring: carpet, pad, tile, laminate and hardwood
- Doors, windows and framing
- Small amounts of concrete, brick and block (weight limits apply)
- Insulation, fixtures and general jobsite trash
How job site cleanup works
1. Tell us the scope and the schedule
One-time end-of-project haul, or scheduled pickups as the work progresses. Both are common.
2. We load by hand
Debris does not need to be neatly staged, though a single pile speeds it up and lowers the labor cost.
3. Sorted for the right facility
Clean metal goes to scrap, clean wood is separated where possible, and the balance goes to a licensed C&D transfer station.
4. Site swept
We sweep and magnet-sweep driveways where nails have been dropped so nobody picks up a flat.
Who we haul for
- Remodeling contractors and general contractors
- Roofers and siding crews
- Kitchen and bath installers
- Flooring companies
- DIY homeowners mid-renovation
- Property managers doing unit rehabs
We cannot take asbestos-containing materials, and in older Syracuse homes that includes some pipe insulation, floor tile and siding. Anything suspected of containing asbestos needs a licensed abatement contractor first.
Heavy materials like concrete, brick and tile are priced by weight rather than volume. Tell us what you have and we will quote accordingly.
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer recurring pickups during a project?
Yes. Many contractors set up a weekly or as-needed schedule so debris never builds up on site.
Is this cheaper than renting a dumpster?
It often is for small and mid-size jobs, because you only pay for the volume actually hauled and there is no rental time or street permit involved.
Can you take concrete and brick?
In limited quantities. Heavy inert material is weight-priced; large volumes are better suited to a dedicated container.
Do you handle asbestos or lead materials?
No. Those require a licensed abatement contractor. We will haul the remaining non-hazardous debris after abatement is complete.
